Senses Fail and Silverstein’s co-headliner stopped in Sayreville, New Jersey December 13th. This tour was one of the most highly anticipated tour
s for the end of 2015 and boy did it exceed expectations. Ever since seeing Senses Fail, Silverstein, and Hundredth dominate the Monster Stage at this summer’s Vans Warped Tour, I knew that this tour would be a line up that I should not miss under any circumstances. As if the lineup wasn’t stacked enough, the bands brought California natives Capsize on the tour to open the show every night.
When Capsize took the stage, the room was still filling up but that did not stop their fans from having fun during their set. The band has been touring with a lot of bigger names in the past few months which has been getting their name around the scene. Big things will definitely be coming for them in 2016. Hundredth took the stage next and did not disappoint as usual. Their energy on stage is always incredible and brings the crowd to life.
After Hundredth, Silverstein then took the stage and dove right into “Milestone” off their newest release, “I Am Alive in Everything I Touch”. Their set was filled with old favorites such as “My Heroine” and “Smile In Your Sleep” and also newer jams such as “A Midwestern State of Emergency”. If any band knows how to come up with a fun setlist to get their fans pumped up, it’s definitely Silverstein.
Next up were hometown heroes, Senses Fail. Every time they come around myself and other New Jersey fans feel a sense of pride, even if Buddy Nielsen is the only true New Jerseyan left in the band; the band still originated here. Fresh off a great run on Warped Tour and the success of their new album, fans were super eager to see them home again. They took the stage in pitch blackness and opened up right into “Fireworks at Dawn” from their 2008 release “Life Is Not A Waiting Room”, which was different from them but the crowd loved it. Their set was filled with jams from every release, but mostly from their newest record “Pull The Thorns From Your Heart” and their two most popular “Let It Enfold You” and “Still Searching”.
Overall, this tour package was one that you definitely did not want to miss. Look out for tour dates from all the bands in 2016.
