“Alt-pop trio COIN release “Youuu” the latest track off their upcoming album Dreamland that is set for release on February 21st. Click HERE to listen!
“Youu” came to life in California, in the middle of what lead singer Chase Lawrence described as a creative drought. Reflecting on the lessons that inspired the track, he mused: “We wish to control everything before we simply choose to notice anything. I’m still learning, but I don’t want to waste my time trying to find something special, only to realize I was holding it all along.”
Dreamland brings to life COIN’s most sonically adventurous yet emotionally direct songs to date, but also hold a memory map of all the places the globe-trotting band has travelled in the making of this album.
Chase Lawrence said: “From Nashville to Seoul to London to Los Angeles, we recorded everywhere but a studio. For the past two years, we made this album in green rooms, bedrooms, airplanes and buses. ‘Dreamland’ is a patchwork quilt of everywhere we’ve been – a sonic journal of orchestras, out of tune guitars, church choirs and iPhone voice memos.”
At the end of 2019, COIN released album track “Let It All Out,” a follow up to the bands current single “Crash My Car”. The song currently has over 252 million streams and is steadily beginning to climb at Alternative Radio. Click HERE to listen and view the video!
In conjunction with their upcoming album, COIN will also be heading out on the road for a headlining U.S. tour. The 22-city run is set to kick off on March 10th in Tampa, FL at The Ritz Ybor and will wrap on April 12th in Minneapolis, MN at Varsity Theater and will include iconic venues like The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville TN, The Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA and House of Blues in Boston, MA. Since the arrival of their 2016 breakthrough single “Talk Too Much,” COIN have continually turned out sublimely catchy alt-pop, equally built on effervescent hooks and an understated complexity. With that dynamic earning them a passionate following, the Nashville-based trio have spent much of the past few years bringing their sing-along-heavy live set to frenzied crowds all across the globe. On their upcoming album, COIN is embracing their pop instincts more fully than ever, dreaming up their most sonically adventurous yet emotionally direct batch of songs to date.”
